Bald Head
This is one of the most recent causes of agony in a majority of the males. Baldhead means absence of hair either partially or completely on the scalp.
Causes:
- Heredity: In majority of cases, genetic factors are responsible for the appearance of baldhead.
- Androgenic Influence:In males, predominance of androgens is the main cause of baldness. As the concentration of androgens is comparatively lower in females, baldness is rare in females.
- Severe Hair Loss:Either due to any altered health condition, improper maintenance which may accelerate hair loss ultimately leading to baldness

Treatment:
Consists of surgical and non-surgical methods
- Surgical Method:Hair transplantation is the only solution for re-growth of natural hair on baldhead. However, the life span of hair after transplantation varies from person to person. Since this is a surgical procedure, the cost involved is quite high.
Hence, not within the reach of most people. Moreover, this method is recommended only in cases where the baldness is only 20% and hair is intact in the remaining 80% of the scalp.
People with a larger area of baldness do not stand any chance of success through this method. - Non-surgical Methods: They include procedures like hair weaving, hair bonding, vibro-fixing and the like.
